British Science Week

Whitehall held a Science Spotlight on Learning Event on Tuesday 13th March 2018. It was very well attended and there was a real buzz as parents, children and other visitors walked around the school to see the display boards showing what different year groups had been working on.

We had demonstrations from Chris Darby of The National Space Centre who talked about Tim Peake and shared artefacts from recent missions. Jphn Holt of The Space Research Centre from The University of Leicester shared how it would be impossible to nmake a cup of tea on Mars.

Judgemeadow Community College were represented by Mrs Shelley Hamilton who talked about oxygen, The City College of Leicester brought along microscopes and we could see the heart beat of daphne through the lens.

 Dani from Sustrans caused a lot excitement as there were  Lee Jowett, Leicester City Environmental Education,
