Maths Video - Addition Word Problems- Watch the video with your child and complete the addition word problems from the Learning pack. You will need to pause the video whilst your child is working out the answers. You will also need counters or a number line to 20.
Don't forget to ask them questions along the way.

Does it matter which way we put the numbers when we add? Why not?
Encourage your child to use different strategies and to always go back and check their answers.
English Video - The children will need their Learning Packs. Some modelled writing has been shared for the worry cloud, the excitement rainbow and a wish for Year 1. The extension activity is to write a letter to their teacher about how they are feeling and what they are looking forward to.
