Maths – Division. Today you are going to be learning about division and the two different methods or working these questions out. Have a go along with me through the questions and remember to pause and resume playing when you are ready for the answers. It may be useful to have some paper to write/draw your working out as well as objects if you find that easier as well. There are two tasks for you to complete one is division number sentences and the next is division word problems. If you would like an extra challenge, have a go at writing your own word problems for your teachers to answer!
CAN YOU SPOT THE MISTAKES ON TWO OF THE QUESTIONS!!! What is 18 divided by 2? and 15 divided by 5? Always check your anwers! Well done for those that have spotted it!
English – Story setting description. For this lesson we are going to be looking at descriptive writing. We will talk through adjectives and how we use these to improve our writing. We have some small tasks to complete along with us and then we move onto two main tasks for your story setting description. For the first task you need to look at the picture and describe what you can see, remember to use full sentences when writing. For the second task we would like you to write a story based on the picture you have written about for task 1. You can be as creative as you like as it is your story! Remember to include capital letters, finger spaces, full stops, adjectives, conjunctions and a range of punctuation.

English lesson is a GPS lesson all about question marks by Miss Patel (source Twinkl).
We will talk you through what they are, how we use them and why we use them. Then it’s your turn to have a go along with us and complete the sentences with the correct punctuation. You may need to pause the video to answer the question and then play again to reveal the correct answers. You then will see a strange picture which will produce lots of questions in your mind; you need to write all of these questions down. The final task is to write some questions for your new teacher, remember to add those question marks at the end of your sentence and we can then pass them on for you.
Maths lesson is all about multiplication by Miss Patel (source by Twinkl).
In year 1 we have been working on counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. The first part of the lesson is going to be counting groups of numbers so you will need a pen and paper to note down your answers along with us. You will need to pause the video after every question and then play it again when you are ready for the answers. We then move onto arrays which we have learnt about this year. Have a go at answering the questions along with us and then we have given you some number sentences which we would like you to make arrays for. If you can think of your own number sentences as an extension that would be brilliant!
