PE KIT

Indoor kit

· A plain white T-shirt (football shirts and heavily patterned/colourful clothing is not permitted)

· Plain black shorts or black leggings (for indoor P.E.)

· Slip on black plimsolls (for Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2)

· Predominately white or black trainers if possible (for Years 3 - 6)

Outdoor PE kit

· In addition to this, children need to have plain black or grey jogging bottoms/tracksuit bottoms, and a jumper or hooded top for when we do outdoor PE.

The P.E. kit must be kept in a separate bag and this bag remains in school. We ask that children do not take their kit home to be washed until it is a half-term.

Please note:

· Children are not allowed to wear their school shoes for PE. They must have a separate pair of suitable shoes in their PE bag.

· All jewellery, including earrings, and other personal adornments MUST be removed before PE lessons or any sporting activity.

· If your child is unable to take out their earrings themselves, this must be done by the parent before the school day begins. Please note that staff are unable to assist with the removal of earrings. Therefore, if earrings have not been removed or your child is not able to do it themselves, then they will not be able to take part in the lesson.

· It is appreciated that there may be cultural or religious reasons why pupils wish to wear jewellery/adornments. In this instance, bracelets/bangles on the wrist that cannot be removed MUST be covered using a sweatband. Necklaces worn for religious reasons, which cannot be removed, should be taped to the chest using micropore.

· If your child has recently had their ears pierced, and are within the 4-6 week period where they are not allowed to take them out, then micropore tape must be used to cover the earrings, therefore ensuring that they can still take part in their PE lesson.

· Long hair should always be tied back with a suitably soft item to prevent entanglement in apparatus and to prevent vision being obscured.
